Gall bladder disease generally refers to the formation of gallstones inside the bile ducts, affecting the production of bile and the release of this substance when it is required in the process of digestion. In some cases, gall bladder disease may also involve bacterial infection of the biliary system. However, gallstones and bacterial infection of the biliary system are not the only causes of gall bladder disease. Although they are rare, congenital dysfunctions at the level of the gall bladder are considered to be major causes of gall bladder disease.

Bladder infections, caused by bacteria, are common in human beings regardless of age and sex, but they are easy to treat if diagnosed at the right time. Preventing bladder infection necessitates absolute cleanliness.

The most often recommended preventive measure for bladder infection is the intake of plenty of water to flush out bacteria. Beverages and coffee should be avoided. Raw garlic and parsley, carrots, celery, cranberries, blueberries, gooseberries, oats, and watermelon are food items that can fight bladder infections.

Bladder infections are common among children and are caused by bacteria. The bladder holds urine prior to its removal through the urethra. Infections of the urethra and bladder together are called cystitis.

A child’s bladder infection, if left untreated, can lead to serious kidney problems. A girl can frequently have a bladder infection, as a girl’s urethra is shorter and closer to the anus. Uncircumcised boys younger than a year are at a higher risk of developing bladder infections.
